SOMAR (Associação Solidariedade em Marcha) is a civil society organization (OSC) recognized as an OSCIP (civil society organization of public interest) by the Brazilian government. Its purpose is to develop the human person and promote their dignity, emphasizing reconciliation with God, oneself, family and community. Through comprehensive training developed by a team that believes in and lives this culture.
SOMAR operates in communities of extreme social vulnerability in the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Petrópolis. Our mission is to provide transformative opportunities to the residents of these communities, allowing them to act as agents of change in their own territories through education and culture.
With a commitment to reducing inequalities and ensuring access to quality education, we impact more than 2,500 people every month, offering educational support, food, and a safe environment so they can dream of a better future.
